This study investigated the extent of learning loss among dentistry students in a private university in the Philippines and proposed a structured learning recovery program. A convergent parallel mixed methods design was used, combining a 70 item diagnostic examination and qualitative interviews. Factors contributing to learning loss included limited clinical exposure, reduced instructional time, insufficient feedback, and emotional stress. A comprehensive recovery program was developed, emphasizing simulated clinical activities, faculty upskilling, student mentoring, and emotional support systems. Findings highlight the need for responsive academic measures to rebuild competence in dental education.
