Dr Amy Amanfu is a Dental Core Trainee (DCT3) with NHS England, currently based in the West Midlands. She trained at Peninsula Dental School and holds Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Her clinical experience spans oral and maxillofacial surgery, oral surgery, special care dentistry, community dentistry, and paediatric dentistry, with a particular interest in orthodontics. She recently co-presented a poster at the European Association of Paediatric Dentistry (EAPD) Congress in Liverpool and has published in the British Dental Journal on barriers facing Black dental students in academia. She also serves as Chief Dental Mentor at Mentorverse and is active in initiatives promoting representation within dentistry.
