• In the Netherlands, Prevention in Medicare is important. • In the presentation is shown how it is done in Health care in General Medicine. • Specially in Dentistry ,the Dental Profession succeeded to get for Youth till 18 Years,” with” nearly no Decay.”” • How did they do that ? What is the Role of the Government and Insurance companies ? Also the Public Health organisations worked with the Dentists. • The Lecture gives Idee ,what the Dental profession can do in this Field !

Biography

Dr. J. Boehmer Studied Dentistry in Utrecht N.L. and graduated as MS in 1964. He worked in the Rijstate Hospital Arnhem as special Dentist and treated 3000 Children, under 6 years, handicapped persons and drug addict Patients , with rampant caries under General Anaesthesia.He gave presentations about Prevention in Dentistry on T.V. and at political Parties in the Netherlands.and on Congresses. From 1970 till 1980, he was a Member of the Board of the Dutch Dental Association.The Dental Hygienist was then introduced in the Netherlands.
